Direct and Indirect Flirting
Direct and indirect flirting can make life more confusing for the average single. Men tend to be more direct when flirting, while women usually engage in more indirect conversation. Why are men more direct? Studies using MRI scans looking at the blood flows in the brain for men and women show interesting results. It confirmed men use mainly the left side of the brain for speech tasks, while women use both left and right. Boys develop the right side of their brain more rapidly than girls giving them better spatial, logical and perceptual skills than girls. Girls develop both left and right sides of the brain more rapidly, usually reflected in more rapid progress in conversation skills. So what does this mean? Men will tend to focus on an objective and appear to instinctively be able to focus on a goal, regardless of the process involved. Women appear more inclined to develop relationships above most things. This I believe can make men appear more blunt and direct. Don't feel taken aback by this, as both sexes are designed this way to serve a purpose.
Direct and indirect flirting - Flirt T-Shirt and Gifts
In flirting workshops, men get frustrated by the seemingly worthless 'small talk' as some think it serves little purpose. My advice is don't be concerned by forward guys, as long as they are respectful to you, don't worry too much. In a perfect world women would learn how to flirt and enjoy the process as much as the result. A lot of guys however do go through the 'pain' of having to flirt to get a result.
