First Date... or at least that's what I thought.

I wasn't positive where to put this so ta dah. Anyways I'm a sixteen year old male who recently met a girl that I work with. We talked at work all the time obviously and she one day asked me if I liked her, which I did. I took the hint and asked her if she wanted to 'hang out' as I was nervous to ask her on a date. Well the next week we went to the beach and walked around and such.. I enjoyed myself now this is my first real relationship so I didn't make any moves on her at all. I told my friend who also knows her about the day, and later that week he told me that she said it wasn't a date. To be honest I was confused slightly but not completely shot down. but I'm worried that because we haven't talked about it much and it's been more than two weeks since the day that we've gone out again if it's jeopardizing our 'relationship' at all.
