Nathan shy teenager breaking girls hearts

Nathan was a shy boy who most people found it hard to get to know.

Despite being shy, or perhaps because of it, he was popular with the girls.

Good looking and always polite, a lot of girls were attracted to him at his school.

He was completely approachable to them, once they got to know him, although he could be aloof at times.

Interestingly, the attention did not seem to build his confidence, although it did him no harm.

Thing is, Nathan did not grow up terribly confident, never being good at sports and he was a 'middle of the road' student.

Having a line of girls wishing to be your girlfriend would be the envy of most guys, but Nathan actually envied the guys who were typically popular at more manly pursuits.

His family upbringing was normal, they were all pretty active and his dad actively participated in their lives.

Nathan wasn't outgoing and aggressive as his brothers and didn't seem to like his identity as much. There appeared to be a difference in his mind of his ideal persona and his real identity.

He wanted to play the field like his brothers, but in reality he was not like that at all.

He wanted to be more like the jocks at school, but deep down knew that was not the case.

He could frustrate girls with his mixed flirting messages, being sincere and nice one day, and aloof the next.

The more they tried to analyse him, the harder they found it to pin him.

Without knowing Nathan, or knowing his story, you would not realise he was still so immature in some sense, and needed to grow up a lot.

There are bigger things in Nathans world than relationships, so he preferred casual encounters instead.

Truth is, he sometimes wished girls weren't so interested in him, although he enjoyed the attention at times.

The simple fact of the matter was he was not ready to settle into a relationship so young, and it would do him no harm to live as a single for a while.

The problem though for the girls, he could frustrate them by leading them on.

Nathan has always been just as vulnerable as the girls are, and has always need re-assurance he is still wanted and desired.

In this way, he was no different to other men, but his high attraction factor had left the girls in a quandary.

If only the girls knew - that he is a normal guy with simple human needs, and to keep him at arms length, especially if he is not being genuine.

If only they knew he is in a different place, and not worth pursuing so hard.

If only they knew there were more suitable guys that would make them feel so much better because they will fall in love with them, and vice versa.
