ARE TOM CRUISE AND KATIE HOLMES FEELING THE STRAIN?

Usually the more dominant of the two, Tom shares the spotlight with Katie, their bodies appearing to face one another on a 45-degree angle, suggesting a united front.

But their strained smiles and tense body language full of subtle contradictions, hint in this photo that it’s not all rosy for the couple known as TomKat. Tom’s furrowed brow, pursed top lip and thin lower lip indicate that he’s feeling frustrated and annoyed.

Although his thumb protrudes from his pocket in a confident, dominant gesture, his hand thrust deep into his pocket tells another story, revealing his frustration – an attempt to hide his true feelings and hold himself back.

Despite their physical closeness, Katie subconsciously leans back, her torso twisted away from Tom. They may want to appear close, but this picture suggests tension might be brewing with Tom and Katie looking uncomfortable, like they wish they were elsewhere.

Katie is feeling the strain, dutifully going through the motions with an uncharacteristic closed, forced smile, tense body and arm dropped unnaturally by her side.
