The wink body language

Body language to meet men and women

Who can understand the wink body language? Or in other words what does it mean when he or she winks as part of flirting?

You have to ask yourself, are they flirting or are they getting something out of their eye?

Is it their way of showing they understand what you are talking about - on the same wave length - you know what I mean, wink, wink?

The wink as a flirting tool

Know doubt the wink body language can be the most obvious sign of flirting there is, at least before the come hither lick of the lips anyway!

It is a deliberate signal. It shows that a secret is being shared between the winker and the one being winked at.

Wink body language - understanding male body language

It's the intention of the wink body language that is in question here.

Lets look at a couple of actual real life situations here:

Scenario one.

You say something funny or interesting and the guy gives you a subtle little wink as a way of sharing a little moment for just the two of you, as if the two of you are in on some private joke no one else is aware of.

Then later on you see him give another girl that same sort of wink as if to suggest they are sharing their little moment.

Scenario two.

You are chatting to a guy and all of a sudden he gives you a bit of wink body language with a cheeky smile or even moving closer as if you shared a little secret.

As far as you know he isn't spreading his winks around like an outrageous flirt, and he seems to still be interested in the same topic when he winked.

The verdict?

Which scenario is he flirting with you?

Scenario two of course!.

The key here is to look for what is usual behaviour for the guy, and what is considered flirting behaviour to show he is interested in you.

Aside for the guys

Now guys, there is a golden rule we have for winking, and that is - don't overdo it! We know guys can get carried away with a good thing, but using the wink in your body language is definitely more effective when used spontaneously and selectively.

Also only wink once if you can help it - otherwise the poor girl will think something is in your eye!

Also guys, if you find winking difficult at first - try practising in a mirror. There are all sorts of different winks so choose one that works for you.

End of aside

So the point is - like everything in flirting, look for specific behaviour in the guy - if its just for you, its a good sign, if its usual behaviour, then chances are, yes - its usual behaviour.

Also keep in mind using wink body language clustered with other signals like a smile, slight body contact, or some whispering or leaning is a very good sign he is flirting with you.

Remember as we keep saying, don't over think it - you are a better reader of body language and flirting than you think.

Go with your instincts but just be observant and above all, if all else fails and you can't work it out, sit back, laugh and have fun.

Really life is too short isn't it?

Good luck!
